Dracut Recreation 2026 Girls Fall Softball
Dracut Recreation Girls Softball will be running a Fall season that will start the beginning of September and run through mid-October. The Fall season will be based on an average of 2 games per week with games typically played Monday - Thursday. There may be occasional Friday night or weekend games based on weather cancellations of schedule conflicts but would be limited.
Registration for Fall Softball begins Monday, August 10, 2026 and closes Tuesday, August 25, 2026 or when spaces are filled.
There are limited spaces in each age group. Registrations will be based on first come first come first serve basis to fill a team. The first (13) girls who register will be assigned to a team in their respective age group. All other girls will be placed on a waiting list to determine if there are enough participants to form additional teams. Do not miss out; register today!
JUNIOR OLYMPIC (YOUTH) AGE QUALIFICATIONS
Junior Olympic (YOUTH) Age Qualifications. Applies to 10U, 12U and 16U age groups. A player’s age as of August 31 determines the age in which the player is eligible to play the following year.
10-Under Age Classification. A player whose 11th birthday is prior to September 1, 2026, is INELIGIBLE.
12-Under Age Classification. A player whose 13th birthday is prior to September 1, 2026, is INELIGIBLE.
16-Under Age Classification. A player whose 17th birthday is prior to September 1, 2026, is INELIGIBLE.
Parents who would like to exercise the option for their daughters to move up to an older league must submit a written request to the respective league vice president for approval. Email addresses for league vice presidents are listed on the DGSA website at www.dracutgirlssoftball.com. Click on the "Board" tab on the menu. Please be advised that approvals may not be granted until registration closes to determine if there is room on a team in the age group requested.
Fall League Costs:
6U: Girls ages 5,6 - $40.00 (6u meets 5 times in the fall. Additional sessions may be added based on timing and availability). Note: 6u is not USA officiated so the new age qualification does not apply. Parents can choose to move their daughter up to 8U based on skill level.
8U: Girls ages 7, 8, 9 - (8U meets approximately 8 times in the fall) - $70.00 Note: 8U is not USA officiated so new age qualification does not apply. Parents can choose to keep a girl turning 9 years prior to September 1, 2026 in 8U for the fall season or move her to 10U based on skill level.
10U: Girls ages 9, 10, 11 (if not 11 prior to September 1, 2026) - $85.00
12U: Girls ages 11, 12, 13 (if not turning 13 prior to September 1, 2026) - $90.00
13+: Girls ages 13 – 16 (if not turning 17 prior to September 1, 2026) - $90.00
